Annual student-run hackathon MtA Hacks is taking place on ������Ƶ Allison’s campus March 15-16. First introduced at ������Ƶ Allison in 2019, the event offers students in university and high school the opportunity to gain the skills required to produce a computer science project, problem solve within a short period of time, meet industry experts, and win prizes. This year’s theme is novel applications of AI. 

“Teams at the hackathon will brainstorm, build, and pitch [computer science] projects with the aim of exploring novel applications of AI,” says MtA Hacks co-President Matya Stavnitzy. “MtA Hacks is a great opportunity to learn new skills, add a project to your resumé, and make new friends.” 

Students interested in participating can register on their own or as part of a 2-4 person team. Each team member must register separately.  A workshop will be held at the beginning of the event to form teams.  

Students of all skill levels are encouraged to participate. However, all participants must have an understanding of at least one programming language.
