Welcome to the Department of English

Joining us this Fall 2024 is Dr. Bryn Jones Square who will be teaching ENGL 1201 C (Intro to Principles of Literary Analysis) and ENGL 3951 (Literature and the Natural World) and Dr. Geneviève Robichaud who will be teaching ENGL 1201B and ENGL 1201 D (Intro to Principles of Literary Analysis).  Dr. James Hahn will be teaching ENGL 2801 A (Intro to Canadian Literature) and ENGL 3831 A (Queer Literature in Canada). 

In the Winter 2025 term, Michael Cameron will be teaching ENGL 1201 E and 1201 F (Intro to Principles of Literary Analysis) and Dr. Adam Marcinkowski will be teaching ENGL 3211 (Advanced Studies in Shakespeare).

Fall 2023 and Winter 2024 English Course Information

Joining us this Fall is Julianna Will who will be teaching ENGL 1201A  and ENGL 1201 B (Intro to Principles of Literary Analysis) and Instructor Sharon Vogel will be teaching ENGL 1201 D (Intro to Principles of Literary Analysis).  Dr. Tara Chambers will be teaching ENGL 2201 A, Dr. James Hahn will be teaching ENGL 2801 A and Dr. thom vernon will be teaching ENGL 3831 A


Instructor Jessica Hawkes will be teaching ENGL 1201 C (Intro to Principles of Literary Analysis) and ENGL 2301 A (Literary Periods: 1800 - Present), Instructor Neil Silcox will be teaching ENGL 1701 B and  Instructor Valmai Goggin will be teaching ENGL 2991C.

The Department of English is happy to welcome students, faculty, and staff back to campus/online classes for Fall 2021 and Winter 2022.

Faculty teaching this year includes Dr. Karen Bamford, Dr. Andrea Beverley, Dr. Peter Brown, Dr. Amatoritsero Ede, Dr. Robert Lapp, and Dr. Janine Rogers.  Dr. Sarah Fanning will be teaching one course in the Fall term and one course in the Winter term.  Dr. Geordie Miller will be teaching one course in the Fall term and two courses in the Winter term.  Dr. Janine Rogers will be on sabbatical in the Winter 2022 term.
